FREE Travel Itinerary Websites As Seen In Inc. Magazine.

Below are FREE travel itinerary websites that I came across while reading the latest edition of Inc. Magazine.

www.traxo.com – Traxo keeps itineraries up to date by linking directly to the websites of more than 40 major travel booking services, airlines, car companies, and hotel chains.  The site generates a trip itinerary and automatically updates it if any plans change.  You can also assign different levels of access to members of your group, so you can share all your trip details with your assistant, for example but not your whole staff.”

I signed up for Traxo today and it seems like it will be very useful.

www.tripit.com – forward confirmation e-mails from airlines, hotels, and online booking services to Tripit, which will generate a trip itinerary with flight, hotel, and car rental details.  You can choose to automatically add itineraries to Goggle Calendar or share them with members of your TripIt network.  Creating a network is easy:  TripIt gives you the option to e-mail individuals or send group invitations to contacts in LinkedIn or web-based e-mail accounts such as Gmail and Aol.

www.dopplr.com – Like TripIt, Dopplr requires you to forward travel confirmation e-mails to the site to generate an itinerary.  The site alerts you when your plans overlap with those of someone else in your group and also creates annual travel reports.  Another plus:  You can send out Twitter updates on your travel plans directly from Dopplr.”

2010 International CES – ZOMM The World’s First Wireless Leash For Mobile Phones Unveiled

I attended 2010 International CES last night (January 5, 2010), located at The Venetian, Las Vegas, Nevada, where the ZOMM the world’s first bluetooth wireless leash for mobile phones was unveiled.  ZOMM won the 2010 International CES “The Best of Innovations” Award.

According to the representative that I spoke with at the ZOMM booth, if your cell phone is blue tooth enable you no longer have to worry about

  • Losing your mobile phone because the ZOMM will sound an alarm if you walk away from your phone;
  • Missing an important phone call because the ZOMM allows you to answer your cell phone via a speakerphone located on the ZOMM
  • Your safety because the ZOMM will create a shrieking  panic alarm and/or call emergency assistance from anywhere in the world with just one press of the button.

The ZOMM is “smaller than a normal electronic car key and easily attached to a key ring.  It fits comfortably in your pocket or purse and can even attach to a piece of clothing or workout gear.  Similar in diameter to a poker chip, ZOMM features a single button for ease of use, LED lights for visual notifications, a microphone for two-way communications and a speaker for audible alerts including full speakerphone functionality.

For more information about ZOMM, please visit www.zomm.com

Are you one of those people that feels border line conceited when marketing yourself? If you answered yes to this question, then maybe a press release is the answer for you. Many people feel press releases are for big occasions. Although they are good for big occasions, press releases are for news worthy items.

According to Wikipedia a press release, news release, media release, or press statement is a written or recorded communication directed at members of the news media for the purpose of announcing something claimed as having news value. Typically, they are mailed, faxed or e-mailed to assignment editors at newspapers, magazines, radio stations, televisions stations and/or television networks. Commercial press-release distribution services are also used to distribute them.

A few free sources for press releases are http://www.prlog.org and http://www.free-press-release.com (free and premium options).

A few reasons to write a press release, include but are not limited to the following

I think you have the idea now, so the next time you are reluctant to market yourself, remember a press release can be your best friend.
